It is an English band, which covers genres like britpop, piano rock and alternative rock. Formed in 1997 in London, is made up of vocalist, pianist and guitarist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, Will Champion and drummer Phil Harvey. Coldplay achieved international recognition with the launch of their single Yellow in 2000, followed by the success of his debut album, Parachutes.
